Hussein El Gueretly

Eng. El-Gueretly possesses over forty years of experience in strategy formulation, general management, operation planning, marketing, sales, and consulting, in both multinational companies and public sector.

Eng. El-Gueretly is currently a board member at Avanz Capital Egypt, an Egyptian direct investment company affiliated to Avanz Capital Management. He is also a board member in Sprints startup which is the first end-to-end solution to bridge the tech talent gap in the market. He had also joined the boards of Suez Canal Bank from 2019 to 2023 and National Bank of Egypt from 2008 to 2017. His last executive position was CEO at ITIDA (Information Technology Industry Development Agency) during the period 2014-2015. Prior to this position, he was CEO at Orange Labs Cairo (Orange’s innovation arm for the Group that focuses on emerging markets). Earlier on in his career, he has held the positions of Managing Director, Oracle Egypt, and Senior Director, Business Operations, Oracle Middle East / Africa region. He also held the position of Managing Director, NCR Corporation, Dubai, as well as Marketing Director, Financial Solutions, AT&T Global Information Solutions, Middle East/Africa, based in Cyprus.

Eng. Gueretly holds an MBA (General Management) from McGill University and a Bachelor of Science from the Faculty of Engineering (Architectural Department), Cairo University.
