Mr. Mahmoud Thabit is a highly accomplished Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with over 33 years of distinguished experience in strategic planning and financial management across premier financial institutions in the Middle East. Throughout his illustrious career, he has held senior leadership and CFO roles at prestigious organizations, including Kuwait Finance House (KFH), Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB), Union National Bank (UNB), Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB), and Faisal Islamic Bank.
As a pioneering leader, Mr. Thabit was one of the founding members of ADIB Abu Dhabi during its establishment phase, where he played an instrumental role in building the Strategic Planning and Financial Control Division from the ground up. Leveraging his specialized expertise in Shari’ah-compliant finance, he was also key to the launch of UNB’s Islamic Banking Window and its subsidiary, Al Wifaq Finance Company, establishing a solid foundation for the bank’s Islamic banking and finance services
