Ms. Lamia Mahdy possesses extensive experience in banking and finance, having held key leadership positions at prestigious institutions across Egypt and the United Arab Emirates over the past 30 years. Her core expertise lies in risk management, corporate banking, and financial institutions.
She most recently served as Head of Risk at Banque Misr UAE from October 2019 to November 2021.
Prior to her role at Banque Misr UAE, Ms. Lamia held key positions Vice President at Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) from November 2015 to July 2018. She also served at Mashreq Bank in the UAE from August 2005 to 2015, as well as Citibank in Egypt.
Ms. Lamia holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA), a Diploma in Banking and Finance, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the American University in Cairo (AUC).
